Welcome to Café Splash - the little shop with a whole lotta pop! We pride ourselves on being the café with something for everyone, they say it takes all types to make a world and we certainly take all types here. Whether it's a quiet coffee on your own or a family get together we've got something for everyone. Drop in for breakfast or lunch or a little snack in between and we'll be sure to have something to fill that gap. It's not all about the food and drink though, people are our thing and we aim to please...Want to get something off your chest? We're happy to talk current affairs, sport, music, tv, movies or even politics...

Café Splash has been a fixture in Toormina Gardens for over 20 years and has changed a bit over the years but it's always been Toormina's number one place to go for a great feed, atmosphere and value. For the past 10 years the shop has been owned and run by Ed Brazier and has been in it's current location for 9 years, recently undergoing a minor refurbishment to bring it to it's current state. We've been through many changes in our time here but one thing has always remained constant - a friendly vibrant atmosphere. Value for money has also always been high on our list of priorities and continues to this day.

Our menu is ever changing but the favourite meals always remain constant. All the usual suspects are there - burgers, quiches, gourmet sandwiches, salads breakfasts and snacks. We've got everyone covered with gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options a plenty. All prepared to order and delivered to you in lightning quick time. Our drinks menu is also busting with favourites - coffees, milkshakes frappes and smoothies, they're all here.

Then there's our specials and boy are they special! We're the home of $9.50 meal and were doing it long before anyone else, actually we've been doing it that long that it started out the $5 lunch! Every day there is a great meal, normally traditional but sometimes a bit out there available for $9.50.

We also offer daily specials on our specials board, this is where John, our resident chef, has his chance to shine and shine he does. I won't tell you how long he's been doing this but it's a looooong time! He has many influences from mediteranian to middle eastern, South American to Asian and he's not afraid to mix and match, always to great effect. Sometimes it's just his take on an old Aussie favourite but he tends to take a lot!
A fully functional commercial kitchen and great chef allows us to also offer a great catering menu at very affordable prices. Anything from a sandwich and wrap platter for six to full hot and cold extravaganza for 50, we can do it and we will. Our catering menu is always available and always a hit!

Then there's our staff, without whom it just would not be the same.

Ed runs the show and is in the shop most days overseeing operations, taking orders at the till or making coffees and drinks but mainly engaging our customers. Occasionally you might get him cooking too but that's a bit of a rarity.
​
John the chef is also in every weekday driving the engine room out the back, when he's around there is never a dull moment. He's been doing it a long time and although getting used to being in an open plan kitchen and on display has been something of a learning curve, learning he is.
​
Holly is our second in charge. She also works full time and has been employed at Café Splash since her school days. There is nothing in the shop our Holly can't do and she's a vital cog in the wheel to both Ed and John as well as being captain of the ship on weekends.

Tia is our apprentice chef and is coming to the end of he first year. She too started out doing work experience in our shop before taking on her apprenticeship. There's more than one string to Tia's bow though, she makes a killer coffee too.
​
Linda is our resident go to girl. She's employed part time and always available and happy to work. A shining light and example of what you can do if you put your mind to it, a very valuable asset indeed.
​
As well as our core staff we have a few casuals who warm the bench after school or when they're taking day's off from their own business - our Sarah still comes to play from time to time but spends most of her days at Tuck Shop Bellingen which she owns with husband Matt.

We are neatly situated in the warmth/cool of Toormina Gardens Shopping centre at the South end away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to all the convenience a shopping centre brings.
